LCMC is a local nonprofit that provides free English classes to adults in Montgomery County.
The Literacy Council of Montgomery County (LCMC) transforms the lives of approximately 1,600 adults each year by providing educational programs that strengthen language proficiency, build life skills, and foster community involvement.
Our programs include one-on-one tutoring; intensive, standards-based ESL classes; iPathways online learning program for GED; test preparation; workplace literacy; and computer-based instruction. Our mission is to enable adults to transform their lives and enrich our community through English literacy. At LCMC, we teach adults to read, write, and speak English in a vibrant multicultural community where English proficiency is a tool for success.
LCMC offers 8-10 week Adult English morning, evening, and Saturday classes in several areas of Montgomery County. If you would like to know further information about our upcoming sessions and wish to enroll, please give us a call at 301-610-0030 and/or email us at info@literacycouncilmcmd
