Travel services. We're planning experts specializing in destination weddings, dna journeys, yoga retreats, girls getaways, honeymoons, and trips around the world.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Owner of Enlighten Excursions. BA in French, Russian, Political Science and Master's of Business Administration. I've lived and studied in France, and have traveled Europe and the Caribbean extensively, including Russia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. I have managed over 50 multilingual college graduates providing travel assistance and concierge services worldwide. And through it all, I have learned that when you connect people to people there is a special kind of enlightenment that occurs. Travel can be transformative. It can impact and advance our understanding of the world as long as we are not just sightseers.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We specialize in providing opportunities for authentic travel where customers meet and converse with locals and gain insight and understanding into local culture and history. We are committed to opening the world through cultural exchange and understanding.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Just one location in Silver Spring where we work with clients virtually by phone, website and email and in person by appointment.
