How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
On a trip to India in 1982, Marvin started buying gemstones and beads in Jaipur and it progressed to the business we have today. Marvin's sales background in the carpet and insurance industries solidified his basis in business and his talent for music served his creative bent to combine into the beading industry.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We concentrate on quality giving the best prices available. We buy American as much as we can.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one location at the America Inn, 8130 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda MD 20814 where we conduct periodic sales events (See our website Events Schedule) and we do local bead shows. Our website is constantly being expanded.

South on Wisconsin Avenue from 495, go about 2 miles and The American Inn is on the right. There is a public parking lot one block east of Wisconsin between Maple and Highland Streets. Parking is Free on Saturdays.
