PHA is a health non-profit that fights against pulmonary hypertension.
The Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) has been built from the grass roots, based on the idea that people have the right to fight back against the illness that has entered their lives. The organization’s purpose is to make that fight possible and effective. Membership includes patients, family members and medical professionals. PHA provides education and support, public awareness and advocacy and directly funds research.
PHA’s structure includes over 9,500 members, 190 support groups, an encyclopedic and interactive website (www.phassociation.org), two active medical sections and a medical journal that reaches 40,000 physicians every quarter. There are between 20,000 and 30,000 diagnosed PH patients in the U.S.
