Infrared Fiber Systems (IFS) is a leading supplier of infrared transmitting fibers for laser power delivery applications.
IFS produces the Germanium Oxide glass fiber (HP® fiber) for use with the Er:YAG and Er:YSGG lasers.
With the ability to handle up to 20 watts of laser power, our HP fiber is uniquely suited for hard-tissue dental applications and can be also used in other medical and industrial IR laser systems.
HP Fiber is non-toxic, very flexible, has good transmission and high mechanical strength.
IFS was founded in 1986 and is located in the suburb of Washington, DC. IFS facility includes state-of-the-art fiber draw towers, controlled atmosphere glove boxes, glass melting stations and optics testing and instrumentation laboratories.
