Circle of Hope provides equine assisted therapy for persons with disabilities.
Circle of Hope is a 501(c) (3), tax-exempt, non-profit organization devoted to encouraging the physical and mental development of children and adults with disabilities. Through special individualized instruction in equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT), participants learn mental and psychological control, balance, and coordination. Circle of Hope?s approach incorporates
cognitive, behavioral, psychological and physical goals to increase self-confidence and self-esteem, independence, and social awareness.
Circle of Hope is a Premier Accredited Member center of PATH, (Professional Association for Therapeutic Horsemanship). PATH is the only national organization for the accreditation and certification for EAAT programs.
Circle of Hope is located at Pleasant View Farm, 22500 West Harris Road in Barnesville, Maryland.
Circle of Hope's emphasis is on individualized goal-oriented sessions. Our sessions are private only so that the participant may experience the best possible opportunity for learning and success.
Funding and support for Circle of Hope comes from the private sector. Contributions may be received from individuals, corporations, organizations, and foundation grants.
Trained volunteers are vital to all aspects of the Circle of Hope program. There are approximately 92 trained volunteers presently assisting with the sessions, grant writing, and fund raising support.

Stay on 118/Germantown Road until the intersection with 117/Clopper Road.
Turn right on 117/Clopper Road.
At the first stop sign, a railroad bridge will be on your right.
Go under the railroad bridge and make your first left. Continue on 117/Clopper Road.
At the next stop sign, there will be a fork in the road. Do not bear left; continue straight.
You will now be on Barnesville Road.
Travel approximately 3.6 miles on Barnesville Road into Barnesville proper.
There will be a red brick church on your left (Saint Mary's Church).
West Harris Road will be on your right.
Turn right onto West Harris Road.
Pleasant View Farm is the third drive on the left.
From Frederick traveling South on I-270:
Take Exit 22, Route 109.
Turn left onto Route 109 South.
Travel approximately 5.3 miles on Route 109 South
At the stop sign, turn right. Continue for .02 miles on Barnesville Road
